Ceramic manufacturing industry: Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose is widely used as a binder in the manufacture of ceramic products.
Ink printing: Used as thickener, dispersant and stabilizer in ink industry, HPMC has good solubility in water or organic solvents.
Plastics: used as mold release agent, softener, lubricant, etc.
PVC: As dispersant in PVC production, HPMC Cellulose is the main auxiliary for the preparation of PVC by suspension polymerization.
Others: The product is also widely used in leather, paper products, fruit and vegetable preservation, textile industry, etc.
Pharmaceutical industry: coating materials; film materials; speed control polymer materials for slow release formulations; stabilizers; suspension AIDS; tablet binders; viscosity enhancers.
HPMC cellulose is also widely used in the construction industry:
Cement mortar: improve the dispersibility of cement sand, greatly improve the plasticity and water retention of mortar, have the effect of preventing cracks and enhance the strength of cement.
Ceramic brick cement: improve the plasticity and water retention of pressed ceramic brick mortar, improve the adhesion of ceramic brick and prevent chalking.
Coating of refractory materials such as asbestos: acts as a suspension safety agent and fluidity improver, while improving adhesion to the substrate.
Gypsum concrete: Improves water retention and workability, and enhances adhesion to the substrate.
Latex putty: HPMC products improve the flow and water retention of resin latex based putties.
Gypsum: As an alternative slurry to natural substances, it improves water retention and improves adhesion to substrates.
Coatings: As a plasticizer for emulsion coatings, it improves the handling properties and flow of coatings and putty powders.
