Redispersible polymer powder in the mortar cavity and the surface of the film, in the cement mortar particles of the gap and the surface of the film, constituting a flexible connection, can make the brittle cement mortar become flexible. The polymer film will not be dispersed twice when it meets water, which prevents the invasion of water and improves the impermeability.
After the film-forming of redispersible polymer powder, it can form high tensile strength and adhesive strength on different substrates. The film-forming polymer powder is distributed in the whole mortar system as a reinforcing material, increasing the cohesion of mortar. The mortar with redispersible polymer powder is several times higher than ordinary mortar in tensile and flexural resistance.
Redispersible polymer powder and other additives together in dry mortar, dry mortar will be added to the water mixing, in the hydrophilic protective colloid as well as mechanical shear, the latex powder particles are dispersed into the water. In the early mixing phase, the latex powder already starts to influence the rheology and workability of the mortar, and then the wet mortar containing the dispersion of latex powder is applied to the work surface. The pore cavity of the mortar is filled by the adhesive powder particles, the compactness is increased, the abrasion resistance is improved, and it will produce relaxation under the action of external forces without being destroyed. Polymer adhesive powder particles have lubrication effect, so that the mortar components can flow alone, while the adhesive powder has an induced effect on the air to give the mortar compressibility, improve the construction of mortar and ease of use.
